OCC offers consumers an advisory with tips on avoiding mortgage modification and foreclosure avoidance scams

Presidents and CEOs of Minority-Owned National Banks (MONBs): The OCC is extending the deadline to get your feedback on how well the agency is supporting your MONB. Please complete this survey by Friday, October 16, 2009. We would like to have a 100-percent response rate to better support you.

OCC offers guidance on tenant protection provisions of helping families save their homes act of 2009.

OCC offers tips to avoid mortgage modification and foreclosure avoidance scams.

OCC issues bulletin on truth in lending. The bulletin describes recent Federal Reserve rules affecting notices of changes to credit card account terms, and it directs national banks to provide an additional disclosure to better inform consumers.

OCC issues additional guidance on credit card account rate increases.

OCC published a Community Developments report that focuses on the FHA's 203(k) home rehabilitation financing program.

OCC Releases Consumer Advisory: "Reverse Mortgages: Are They for You?"

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) announced on September 30 the availability of data on mortgage lending transactions at 8,388 U.S. financial institutions covered by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).

The OCC will participate in the National Bankers Association 82nd Annual convention located in San Diego, CA, October 6-9, 2009.
