(202) 874-5770 OCC Names Two Senior National Bank ExaminersWASHINGTON — The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency today announced that it had designated William D. Haas and Scott J. Wilson Senior National Bank Examiners. The Senior National Bank Examiner designation recognizes national bank examiners who have distinguished themselves through high-quality performance and service as field examiners, subject matter experts, and advisers on highly complex and technical bank supervision issues. It is the highest honor for national bank examiners. “Examiners play a critical role in ensuring the safety, soundness, and fairness of our federal banking system,” said Comptroller of the Currency Thomas J. Curry. “In our 150 year history, very few people have earned the designation of Senior National Bank Examiner. Those who have earned this title represent the very best. Throughout their dedicated careers, Bill and Scott have certainly earned this honor.” Senior National Bank Examiner William (Bill) Haas started his career with the OCC in 1984. He has traveled the country to participate in the supervision of banks of all sizes from rural community banks to the largest global institutions. He is currently the Deputy Comptroller for Midsize Bank Supervision. Senior National Bank Examiner Scott Wilson joined the OCC in 1985. Throughout his career Mr. Wilson has distinguished himself as a front line bank examiner. He has served in a variety of examiner roles in banks of all sizes including his current position as the Examiner-in-Charge of one of the nation’s largest and most complex institutions. # # #
