Total End–of–Month Foreclosures in ProcessJanuary — June 2008 Foreclosures in process totaled 555,680 at the end of June. Subprime mortgages constitute almost 28 percent of total foreclosures in process, while representing less than 9 percent of the total number of mortgages. Prime mortgages constituted more than 39 percent of all foreclosures, while representing 66 percent of the total servicing portfolio.
