OCC staff members get involved in communities throughout the United States by participating in:

Our involvement in these events allows us to give back to our communities and to better understand their needs and concerns. We also get to see how government policies and private investment work to revitalize neighborhoods, build businesses, and make life better for many. OCC Staff on the Road 

OCC staff participates in tours led by neighborhood organizations, local government officials, and bankers to learn about local community and economic development initiatives.

Neighborworks Week 
OCC staff members participate in the annual national Neighborworks Week community fix-up event sponsored by Neighborworks America (NWA). This event brings NWA's 235 neighborhood organizations together with their communities' residents, business leaders, financial institutions, government officials, and volunteers in support of community revitalization projects.

Volunteers from the OCC, OTS, FDIC, and the National Credit Union Administration help beautify the Willowbrook Condominums, an affordable housing project in northeast Washington, DC developed by the nonprofit Manna Inc.

Manna is one of two NeighborWorks organizations located in the District of Columbia. As part of this year's NeighborWorks Week theme, volunteers also distributed alerts to nearby residents on how to avoid loan scams.
