Dr. Ebrahim's current research interests include financial institutions, banking, risk management, risk modeling, corporate governance, corporate finance, and economic development. His practice in risk modeling is primarily focused on operational risk. Dr. Ebrahim joined the OCC in 2011 after completing a doctorate in finance from University of Tennessee. He worked as a consultant for Deloitte and Touche before starting his Ph.D. program. Dr. Ebrahim also holds a master's degree in economics from Vanderbilt University, a master's degree in socio-economic systems engineering from Institution for Research on Planning and Development and a bachelor's degree in materials engineering from University of Tehran.
