Deputy Comptroller for Community and Industry Relations Andrew Moss is the Deputy Comptroller for Community and Industry Relations (OCIR) at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In this role, Mr. Moss oversees the OCC’s community affairs, community development, banking relations, and external relations and strategic partnerships offices. OCIR staff and community development professionals located in Washington, D.C., and the OCC regions provide expertise, guidance, and educational resources, and organize outreach on community development lending, services, investments, and related issues in support of the OCC’s mission. OCIR staff also coordinate outreach to the banking industry and manage the OCC’s Project REACh initiative. He assumed this role in May 2025.
Previously, Mr. Moss served as the Acting Chief of Staff where he advanced the priorities of the Acting Comptroller and directed the daily operations of the Acting Comptroller’s support staff. In this role, Mr. Moss served on the Executive Committee.
Mr. Moss has also served as the Director for External Relations and Strategic Partnerships where he oversaw the agency’s strategies in support of financial inclusion initiatives, including the OCCs Project REACh program. He has also served as the Outreach and External Relations Manager and the Community Relations and Minority Affairs Manager within the External Outreach and Minority Affairs Office.
Prior to joining the OCC, Mr. Moss held various positions at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Mr. Moss holds a bachelor of business administration degree in finance and marketing from North Carolina Central University and a master of education administration degree from George Mason University. He also received his juris doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
