Julie Blake

Director for Banking Relations

Julie Blake is the Director for Banking Relations in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

In this role, Ms. Blake directs the agency’s outreach to commercial banks and their representatives and industry trade associations, oversees the community bank director workshop program, and represents the agency to the financial services industry at events around the country. She assumed this role in October 2021.

Ms. Blake has worked for the OCC for over 30 years and is a commissioned National Bank Examiner. Prior to her current position, she served as a Risk Officer in the Midsize Bank Supervision division of the OCC. Previously, she was an Assistant Deputy Comptroller of the Cincinnati and Columbus field offices, where she oversaw a portfolio of community banks and supervised a large staff of examiners. She has other extensive experience in bank supervision, including policy development at OCC Headquarters and the examination of capital markets-related and mortgage banking-related activities at midsize and large banks. Ms. Blake has also served as Chairperson of the Midsize Bank Supervision and OCC Central District Risk Committees, and President of the OCC’s Women’s Network.

Ms. Blake earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Cincinnati, completed the Chartered Financial Analyst program, and is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning.
