Understanding capital markets risk is critical to comprehending a bank’s balance sheet risks and long- and short-term financial risks. Interest rate, liquidity, and investment portfolio risks also come into play. Join OCC professionals to discuss current investment portfolio topics and risk themes, such as interest rates and funding cost dynamics, investment portfolio depreciation, and margin compression. Participants will become more familiar with quantifying short- and long-term balance sheet risks related to assets and liabilities and learn what questions to ask about measuring risk.
Work with and learn from experienced OCC examiners who lead this workshop, which includes discussions of best practices, lectures, and hands-on exercises designed for directors and senior management of national community banks and federal savings associations.
